Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and collaborative Sr. Scientist/Principal Scientist to join our Pharmacology team. In this position, you will play a critical role to support our internal drug discovery programs in diverse therapeutic areas and to evaluate external asset acquisition/collaboration opportunities by closely working with our Chemistry, Business Development and AI teams. You will be responsible for in vitro assay development/implementation and in vivo proof-of-concept studies (internally or at CROs) to enable small molecule screening efforts. Responsibilities:

Serve as a pharmacology representative and the subject matter expert for multiple drug discovery programs

Critically evaluate drug targets selected by our AI and/or BD teams and explore novel therapeutic hypotheses for expansion of our internal programs and external collaboration opportunities

Design, execute and interpret in vitro and in vivo studies (either in-house or at CROs) to screen small molecule drug candidates, identify/validate PD biomarkers and establish PK/PD relationships

Identify and manage CROs/academic sites in the conduct of in vitro/in vivo studies and oversee study executions

Participate in discussion with KOLs and due diligence for in-licensing opportunities and

Think strategically about drug development and drive innovative solutions to key challenges across the organization
Minimum Qualifications:
-
PhD in Biology, Pharmacology, Translational Science or a related field

Minimum 5 years of industry experience

Experience managing studies conducted at CROs

Strong communication skills, presentation skills and cross-functional collaboration are required

Experience in Microsoft suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.), GraphPad Prism and other relevant software is required
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in immunology, nephrology, and/or oncology preferred

Experience successfully preparing Pharmacology sections of regulatory documents is a plus
