We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and collaborated Artificial Intelligence Leader to join our team. This position will offer the opportunity to be the main decision maker and leader of the AI department. The right person will play an important role in the success of our technical platform, and therefore of the company. AI has been powering the growth of Metis since its birth. Through the integration of AI and high throughput experimental, Metis has successfully developed innovative drug delivery and formulation platforms that greatly improve the development of for small molecule and RNA drugs. Responsibilities:

• Deep thinking on where and how AI can create concrete value for drug development, and lead AI team; 

• Collaborate with management team and project leaders to identify where AI can be applied and work closely with members within the company; 

• Monitor and identify the new AI progress that can be utilized by Metis; 

• Manage and inspire the AI team;

Minimum Qualifications:

• PhD in Computer science, bioinformatics, mathematics, or a related field; 

• 8+ years of experience developing and deploying machine learning systems in pharmaceutical industry,  

• 5+ years of experience working as team leader; 

• Knowledge of computation, MD, etc. preferred; 

• Demonstrated success of working with team across functions 

• Demonstrated success of leading team toward a mission;

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in RNA or protein drug discovery is a plus;  

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, in English. Ability to communicate in Mandarin would be advantageous, although not imperative.
